Our show Life & Rhymes presented by Benjamin Zephania, won the 2021 BAFTA for Best Entertainment Programme and we couldn't be more delighted.
Ours was an original format, using spoken-word to tell authentic stories, genuinely diverse and rich in substance.
Spoken-word isn't a format seen regularly on TV, so this show which I know has been a long time coming for it's creators, was completely original. Huge congrats to Isaac Nartey and Bob Clarke for coming up with the original concept
I joined the team in September as maternity cover and donned my Series Producer hat, just in time for filming and delivering the series, a joint CPL and Licklemor production for Sky Arts, hosted by the formidable Benjamin Zephania.
Nominated in the Entertainment Category, the show was up against Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Take Away, Strictly Come Dancing and The Masked Singer. WHAT A RESULT!
